Sports in General

Hi! My name is Hubert Filipkowski, and I will be writing articles for the sport section of Koscription. I have spent much time researching and experiencing all the sports the world has to offer. Some sports that I will cover on this page are Soccer and Hockey.

Soccer is by far the world’s most popular sport, and most convincing to watch. It contains some of the worlds most athletic and agile competitors. Soccer today in Europe is called Football, which in our North American society contains two beefy guys going at it for a pig skinned ball. Even though the two continents have a very different out look on the two sports, they both contain a goal, whether it be scoring a goal into a net or dancing in the end zone after a touchdown. I have been fortunate enough to experience both sports and have enjoyed it plenty.

Hockey is the most played and watched sport in Canada. Kids have been watching movies and documentaries about Wayne Gretzky or Bobby Orr since they’ve been able to walk and skate. People are inspired by the great sport because of the intensity and fierce drive in the game, recently speed has even increased in the game, with more younger talent entering leagues with lighter equipment. The game is expanding into more of a North American game moving and inspiring more southern states in the USA. I have been lucky enough at a young age to play hockey, I played since I was five to the age of fourteen and will never forget some of the game celebrations I experienced.

These two sports were the two sports I really enjoyed playing in my life, not to say I didn’t enjoy Baseball or Taekwondo, or any other sport I missed, but these two were by far the most interesting and enjoyable.
